OB Appointment Today! 9-9-08

We had an appointment today and everything is just fine! His heart rate was around 143 she said. We have always had the same midwife, but today I had a new one...I really liked my other but this one will do I guess. I would really like to stick with the same midwife every single time though.
We were hoping to get into the Lamaze classes but they still don't have an instructor so were reading up on having a baby the completely NATURAL way, no drugs AT ALL! I'm really set on it and I want to be completely ready for the worst pain in my whole entire life. We may hire a Douala if we can't get into classes and were down to the last month...I want us to be ready for it.

My blood tests from the last appointment (cystic fibrosis, down syndrome) all came back very unlikely. They also gave us the feedback from the ultrasound, they said he was about 11 ounces then and growing normally. She said that my ultrasound showed that my due date would be January 19th instead of January 21st but since they were so close they weren't going to "technically change it" Maybe he is just going to be a big boy!

So everything was great and he is healthy and just fine! He is started to have parties in my belly and I'm feeling him move around a little, its very exciting! Well, I guess that's it for now, I will be home (in WV) for the weddings and my birthday!!! Unfortunately Tyler won't be with me, he has to work, whats one more year of my birthday without him...I'm actually very very sad that we can't be together. He hasn't been home for my birthday in two years. Were going to celebrate a little early...I want Hibachi! Oh yeah, Happy birthday to Grand-dad Ralph (thats what Landen is going to call you!!! Your sons decision!)

Congrats, I'm glad everything is going well! You can definitely go all natural, it's not bad at all. :) I don't think it was the worst pain in my life because it's pain with a purpose. You know exactly what your body is doing, and why! Anyway, if I could go with no pain meds, I KNOW you can! Research the Bradley method, try to find Bradley birth classes. I didn't take any classes but I read a lot about the Bradley method. We didn't have a doula, either, but I was only in labor for a total of 7 hours (active 5 hours) so it went by so fast that we didn't need one. Definitely stay active! That'll help shorten labor time.

You're going to make a great mama :) Congrats, I'm really excited for you! Next time you're in you should get in touch and come meet Lily! This is Bri, btw.
